There is a phenomenon that is rising in leaps and bounds from the White Tent in Katlehong/Spruit. He is young, charismatic, dynamic and is no conventionalist. He is attracting thousands to his healing services where he mesmerizez them with a teaching and his great voice spotting anointing. He crowns his appearance with his passion to be a vessel of deliverance for people from various ailments and oppression. His non conventionalist methods have raised eye brows as to whether he is real or fake. SOme have compared him to the MAmosamarias of this world and have claimed he is not genuine. Here is my 2 cents worth.
Mboro, as Motsoeneng is known, is clearly a gifted soul. In order to command such a following you need to either be GIFTED or be a SCAMMER and I dont see him being a scammer as I have observed his earnestness in helping people to be set free from the clutches of Satan. His ministry to young men lured by a life of crime and pseudo ghetoism, his appeal to ‘abogogo’ and across the social divide, make him palatable.
However, what is the problem in Motsoeneng’s rise is not unique to him. Why is it that when God gifts us with gifts to serrve his people we PERSONALIZE the gift and act as if IT IS THROUGH OUR WORTH. How quickly we forget the EVERYTHING we accomplish, JESUS must get the glory because WE ARE JUST VESSELS. The genuineness of Motsoeneng’s ministry is being butchered by his apparent love of himself. This love is fuelled by the thongs who follow him and do not have the sense to take the gift and let Mboro be a vessel. This disease of glorifying the vessel is evident in the following:
1. His constant referalls to himself an dinsistance that people must address Jesus and Mboro
2. His preoccupation with the miraculous. WHen God performs a miracle it is for a purpose, but when we document miracles in order to validate the prophet we miss the pioint because MIRACLES are not unique to Christians. Jesus warned his discples not to rejoice over miracles but over LIVES TRANSFORMED.
3. He ignorantly dances as people belt out a song ABUOT HIM. HOW LOW CAN WE GO!!! We must get a radical reminder that ITS ABOUT JESUS. We need the attitude of the apostles of old, who, when people tried to give glory to them, RESPONDED fiercely in teh NEGATIVE…Its not US its JESUS…Give HIM the Glory.
4. The introduction of gadgets to support prayer really spits in teh face of our claim that the NAME of JESUS is Powerful. Its Vaselines, Cloths, Water and amazingly all these come at a price. Thelove of Money is diluting the Power of God.
Mboro must learn to credit JESUS and take a back seat. I knwo its not easy when people constantly seek after you. You need maturity to keep saying ..No, they dont want me, they want JESUS.
I pray that he follows this humble path becuase I am convinced he is unique in his ministry.
NB: This is my honest observation of this man. I will not respond to half baked comments on THOUS SHALL NOT JUDGE. Please read the context before throwing verses at me.

I have been following the programme of Mbhoro for sometime and it really touches me to see so many problems affecting our people. I truly and honestly believe that Mboro is using the power of God through Jesus to heal. Each time he prays he says “In the name of Jesus Christ”. For Jesus said we should ask in his name and that no one will ever go to the Father without going through Him. People can say whatever they say about Mbhoro but the plain truth is that he is gifted by the Holy Spirit as Jesus said that we should heal people in His name. I know that there are so many Thomases and Judas in every community. I pray that Mbhoro keep his calling and feed the hungry souls that the other churches cannot feed. For example, the Lutheran Church, Roman Catholic, Dutch and the Protestant church are not feeding the hungry souls. They just read the same vers from the bible over and over gain year by year and don’t entertain the issue that the people’s soul are weak or affected by evil spirits. They are not interested in the healing the souls like Jesus did. What Mbhoro does is evident that satan is ruling the world and where can the poor souls run to? Mbhoro is unique, yes and different from other prophets. He is not throwing bones, does not tell people about the future, is not a scocery, does not read peoples palms, does not say you are been witched by so and so. Poeple go to him with their problems, he prays and fights evil spirits and demons from those posessed. He is human, we should bear in mind. Jesus promoted that we should approach our those we see going astray. Is is worthwhile to judge him without advising him? Those who live in glass houses shall not throw stones. It’s time that we South African stop the mentality of criticizing for the sake of criticizing. The cancer that is slowly eating away South Africans sould be dealt with. We South

My observation is that he is so focused on these “miracle”…he never even opens the bible and interprets the word of God…
His vanity really concerns me that even while praying for the miracles from God…he shouts his own name..something is seriously wrong with this picture and our people are too fixated on quick fixes and instant gratification…God provides according to his own will and according to our faith in him…not everything can and will be miraculously healed … you cant perform miracles every day…sometimes you need to allow Gods will to reign in his own time…not ours…

Why does he need to interpret the Word? So he can lie like the other pastors who have nothing else to do. This interpreting of the word is what has led to all the false doctrines dominating Christendom. I would that people would shut up and demonstrate the kingdom of God. He said he was not God but he could be if he wanted to, but he did not want to take His (God) place. Now that he has money he think he is bigger than God. He got body guards following him everywhere in the church (workshop) & there is limocines & helicopters. The guy is digging his own grave. Now I know why God does not want us to get rich.

I am relieved that there are Christians out there that are vigilant, and so we should. There are so many fashionable trends that have infiltrated the Charismatic circles, and we need to discern the spirits, and not chase after everything. God does not change, and His word does not change. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen…even if you have to wait over 10 years believing yet seeing no manifestation. I have personally witnessed his preaching and miracles.I can say that I do attend his ministries whenever I can.I do agree that at this point he has forgotten about the almighty who has blessed him with this annointing.Im also not in support of praising his name and dancing when ever he has prayed for someone to be healed.He is a real deal but I think he needs to concentrate more on doing Gods work and forget about fame.Yes he does have a bible and he reads it.

I being a Christian myself belive that Mporo is a true prhophet, but as per your “2 cents worth” comment fully agree that he has shifted the focus of many of his followers from God to himself. Im also not in agreement of using elements in order to settle spiritual matters, because such objects dilute the power and the authority of the name Jesus, which is the name above all names whereby man ought to be saved. It is up to us the mature and Teleios Hues of God to pray for such pastors to come to the full knowledge and realisation of God and His dear Son Jesus. Glory to God forever!!

The WORD OF GOD is a sword (mirror), It brings judgement to every situation, before we even give our own personal feelings about this guy we should just reference his ways to the WORD of GOD and keep in mind that false prophets in the bible will be seen by their fruits. Money make people to do things that are not real, and at the end of the day people must be alert with such. If you read the bible there was a guy who was sick, he was paralyzed and they brought him to Jesus at the roof top. Jesus didnt drag out demonds or casting the sickness. I thank God there are still Christian who are willing to stand up for God and correct where there is the blind leading the blind. The bible tells us that in the last days there will be false proohets and who will be so convincing that people will fall for their schemes. There will be people claiming to be the Messiah and performing miracles and wonders, confusing people with all they do. But as children of God we are to have the spirit of descenment, to be able to tell apart the tru and the false. All I can say is I dont know this Mboro man and I am not going to Judge him, but all I can say is one day judgement day will come for all of us and we will all be responsible for whatever we have done here on earth. If he is misleading people, poor or rich, well he will surely answer to The Almighty God some day, and this goes to everyone of us.

from my point of view of the prophet moetshoeneng is that he is fake and yes he does miracles in the name of the lord, remember the bible did caution us of people like this. the bible calls them the anti Christ. the bible says they will speak like you do and they will worship like you do but you will know them by their behavior now the God that i serve the great IAM loves the humble and detest the proud now you cannot be a prophet of God being used by God and serving God on a daily basis and still remain Ur arrogant proud self. there is something wrong with you. you cannot glorify yourself as a child of God because you understand that it is God who gives and He is the one who takes. The fact that on hearing people say he is fake, he took the time to defend himself on TV and speak for so long and went to so much trouble to prove that he is real means that he is fake and is in Love with his bigness. People who sick, carrying heavy problems, very poor are very easy to exploit cause they become so desperate they will do anything if there is a promise of getting better and Mporo is taking advantage of this.
why must he show everyone on national TV when he helps people by paying electricity or a funeral. why doesnt he do it in secret and not look for Glory in public? why must his miracles only focus on penises and mostly vaginas as if he is a gynae or urologist? According to Mathew 7:20-22, the Lord Jesus told us that even people who perform miracles in HIS NAME, and prophesy as well as do all forms of wonders will still go to hell. He says he will say to them go away from me all ye workers of iniquity. Prophesying, healing, miracles etc do not make or qualify one as God called. Jesus said we will see them by the fruits they bear. I am not judging Ps. Motshoeneng, I am just saying the Bible commands us to test spirits and see if they are from God.
The non-conventional way of doing things that Sipho rightly points out, like placing the hand in the biscuit while praying, saying statements that in our culture as Africans, are shameful to say, let alone on public television, exhaulting oneself like requiring people to pronounce his name alongside that of Jesus, are just issues that bother me.
Miracles do not qualify one to be of God, but a relationship with Jesus and righteousness does.

Mbhoro does’nt heal thru holy spirit, christian should know that, a man of God will never demonstrate with somebody to attract ppl, a man of God heals with word of GOD, what is a man of God doing with body gaurds?, the bible say the will be false prophets who will perfome miracles we have never seen, singathatheki. i dont what Mbhoro is but surely not a man of GOD. he use witch craft or magics to heal.

Mr Mnyakeni i have read your article with caution and an open mind. having been in Mboro’s presence in a life threatning situation at the hands of his congregation, i must disagree with you when you say, “I have observed his earnestness in helping people to be set free from the clutches of Satan”. the man put his hands on my head and cast a curse on me IN THE NAME OF SATAN. my life was in danger in Mboro’s church and from what i have experienced, Mboro is not a man of God as no man of God would cast a curse on another person using the name of satan.

THE much-talked about Incredible Happening Church’s “demon banishing” service in Katlehong on Sunday resembled a shoot for a blue movie.
We saw the church leader and self-styled prophet Paseka Motsoeneng insert his fingers into the vaginas of two female congregants as part of a ritual he performed to expel the demons that had allegedly possessed them.
Motsoeneng’s unorthodox demon banishing methods, which Sunday World has been advised might constitute indecent assault, left a bitter taste in the mouths of other help-seekers who attended the services.
Sitting on the lap of a female congregant, Motsoeneng placed his hand on the head of a 17 year-old teen, who cannot be identified due to her age, and started praying for her.
Motsoeneng told the congregants her tummy had swelled up because some sorcerers had cast an evil spell on her.
As he was praying for her she collapsed. Motsoeneng then told the teenager, who was lying on her back, to open her legs, which she did.
He then plunged his fingers into her private parts and started moving his fingers inside her vagina.
As he was busy with his “healing process”, Motsoeneng ordered her to call him by his nickname, Mboro.
“Say Mboro,” he ordered her.
“Mboro” she said, with a stifled cry.
He was interrupted by a female congregant who brought him a glassful of what looked like ice-cream, which she spoon fed him. He was still sitting on the woman’s lap.
While eating, Motsoeneng again ordered the teenager to call his name, which she did.
He then invited a woman he said was a “medical doctor” and whom he called Zozo to examine the teen.
“This is a qualified doctor who will tell us what the problem is with this woman,” he said.
By this time a group of female congregants had draped her lower body with what looked like a towel and surrounded her to prevent voyeuristic people from seeing her private parts.
“Dr” Zozo then inserted what she said was pregnancy test apparatus into the girl’s vagina, with Motsoeneng looking on.
“The pregnancy tests came out positive. She is pregnant. I could also feel the limbs of the foetus,” Zozo announced .
As Zozo was leaving the scene, Motsoeneng screamed: “Zozo, she is bleeding and her tummy has subsided.”
Zozo went back to inspect her before she rushed outside. She then came back wearing gloves and holding a pregnancy test kit.
She inserted them into the teen’s vagina and took them out.
She announced: “Now the kit shows neither positive nor negative results.”
Motsoeneng chimed in: “It is because she was sleeping with an animal.”
Motsoeneng then asked the teenager if she was sleeping around with men.
“Did you donate your biscuit to men?” he asked her.
“No” she replied.
He then said: “Haai, I want to ask all men in here to stop eating biscuit. Do you hear me? You must not eat biscuit anymore,” to which the visibly disgusted men did not respond.
Motsoeneng then asked a women to fetch a bucket.
The young lass was then lifted from the ground and made to sit on the bucket with her legs wide open, bleeding profusely, while Motsoeneng looked on.
He then said a stone had blocked her vagina and called a cameraman to come and film her, but changed his mind.
“This won’t be flighted on TV,” he said.
Two weeks later the teenage girl was shown on Motsoeneng’s programme on Soweto TV holding stones she claimed had come out of her vagina.
We had seen no such thing.
While his helpers and Dr Zozo were attending to the lass, Mboro called another young woman to the stage and made her lie down.
The young woman, who was not asked to identify herself, was told to tell the packed hall what her problem was.
“I haven’t slept with my husband for some time because it hurts when we make love.
“Every time he penetrates me, it feels like he is cutting me with a sharp knife,” she said.
Mboro took off his shoes and placed his foot on her vagina.
“There’s something breathing in her biscuit. It feels like a heartbeat,” he said.
He later ordered the woman to take off her undies. She complied. He said he wanted to “stitch it with his holy water”.
Motsoeneng sprinkled water on his right hand and rubbed the woman’s genitals.
He ordered her to call her husband “with all the nice words in the book of love and tell him she would discharge her conjugal rights”.
“I’m now going to give it to you. You’ll eat nicely. The hunger is gone,” she said coyly.
Motsoeneng then called her husband and instructed him to “give her a deep kiss”.
After they kissed, Motsoeneng added: “Stop because I can see that you want something. You’ll finish the rest in bed when you get home.”
He called another young girl whom he accused of having been a Satanist who conjured up evil spirits. He asked his helpers to undress her and check if her vagina was wet.
After examining her they said she was dry. He asked the congregation whether he should expel her but they begged him to forgive her.

these r the last days, there r a lot of false prophets.
Ppl need to pray for themself, grow in the knwledge &understanding of God, ask God to fill them with the spirit of discernment so that they can see what is false and what is true.
We need to stand up as a body of Christ and pray against the evil spirit that is leading&deceiving this man.
Ppl must really have faith in God, learn to pray for themselves and not wait for pastors to lay hands on them.

Kabza and the others,dont read the bible upside down. Remember Jesus said we can do miracles greater than HIS. There is size for that. So please learn about forces of darkness and their forms. Learn also about prophecy,its forms and how God uses it. Then attend several services of the prophet and pray to God to reveal the truth about the prophet to you. Believe you me God will do so and you will come back to teach the nation ön how to see the work of God. For now ask God to forgive you. Remember that we also tell God what we see and what we prefer to be done by God.

Surely then I must teach you about prophecy or take you through the journey of prophecy. Let me warn you as well that this is quiet a demanding ministry,those who once tasted it do not want themselves anywhere near it. Its prophecy and it has no rules or constitution,what Mporo does is the least,it even goes further much deeper than you can imagine. Think of a hospital theater then and remember that a surgeon resembles a prophet but they are different in the medication they use.

What would the church have done should they have seen this? What did you or would you have done when you saw this? The reporter, why did he not take pictures and open a case? Simphiwe,keep on blvng the lies but the truth shall come out one day and you will immediately realize who was being fooled all along. The prophet is neither my father nor my relative or friend I am just also a young prophet in the Christian healing ministry. I have been so since I was young so that is why I know atleast so much that I know about prophecy. Look prophecy has no rules but it is just guided by the Holy Spirit which goes through everything and so the rule is that what is good is for God.

Simphiwe I hope you have watched yesterday episode about what you have written on May 06. I am one of the people who were misled by people like you, I have never been to Mboro’s church but I hope I will be able to go one day. Do you think the girls parents would have allowed him to touch their daughter like that. These stones came out before she even met Mboro, her teacher and her aunt are witnesses. Please grow up and stop misleading people. Surely you do not have any problems in your life that is why you are bad mouthing him, becareful coz maybe one day you will go to Mboro for help.
Honestly before I even watched the episode I hated him because of things people say about him but now my eyes are open. If he praises himself not God for the miracles he does. Its up to him coz he will have to answer to the almighty.

I am a victim of one of the magic churches and do not want to hear anything to do with these fashion churches. If they really have gift to heal people, why don’t they just use only the word of God.
Some of our fellow brothers and sisters will regret themselves big time about some of these churches.
I refused one of the so called “prophet” from one of the magic churches to come at my place for prayer. Twice he asked told me he will be coming with his followers to my place and the second time I told him I was busy with my exams’ preparation and after my exams I decided I was not going there anymore.
Before I could get back to work, there started being a funny noise in the house like hail on the windows bathroom everywhere even water kettle. When I got back to the office same happened up till today. I am praying daily to God to revenge for me ’cause this is honestly tormenting my soul.

we all just say what we know and bealive is right, but we should all remember again that we are different and only what you know can convince you. what i’m saying is that the prophet is as human as everyone else just like me and you, so he too can make mistakes but that doesn’t mean his gonna loose his gift just because you have never witness a location short guy doing things through jesus christ that he can’t realy explain himself too. Truly speaking this dude is taking people for a ride, the problem is that most people are after healing not being saved,,i have never had this guy preaching about being saved…what is the use of healing the unsaved…it is wise for these People to know God first cuz through God we are healed.
